African Young People: How to Bounce Back-Up After Failing By Javnyuy Joybertadmin
As a young African, as long as you have made up your mind to succeed with that startup or succeed in that career or to succeed by turning your passion into a full flesh business, have a dynamic mind to know that failure is inevitable.
The journey to success requires consistent persistence and that’s why in this article I will be briefing you on how to bounce back after you must have failed. How to bounce back after failing to successfully implement a project or a new startup or getting that investor to invest in your idea and you can name the various failures. I have failed in a couple of projects and I have failed in 2 startups therefore what I will be sharing is my practical experience I implemented to bounce back and today I have 3 startups that are experiencing growth daily.
You can not make failure your enemy that’s the worst decision you can make, you just need to learn how to overcome it. Failure is the most important step to reaching success.
1. Talk to someone relevant. This is very important and that is why it is very vital to have the right friends, have mentors. First of all just talking about something makes you feel better and talking about your failure and how you are feeling to someone who can offer relevant advice like a mentor, he or she will try to give options or choices on what to do next and you will definitely learn from them and make the final decision.
3. Read about the failure of others.
As an entrepreneur one of the most important things I do is to read about other successful entrepreneurs to learn about their failures and how they handled their failures. This is important because it will help you to understand that you are not the only person on the planet to be a failure and if others failed and still succeeded so can you.
4. Failure is not necessary failure. What do I mean? Change your definition of failure like US President Churchill said “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm”. Therefore failure is learning
5. Figure out why you failed. When you fail there are two things, either you run from your failures and they will hunt you and hurt you or you learn from them and grow. Failure is only bad if you refuse to learn from it. Use it to figure out what went wrong and plan a new approach.
Keep shining and remember to smile at failures.
