It Takes More Than Money To Make It In Africa

Unfortunately millions of African young people believe and think that to make it in life and destiny they need a lot of money and connections. Yes money and connections (networks) are important but before a young person get to that level where he/she need the money and high connections there are certain principal and key things they must first put in place. Success in life is a continuous journey which starts with you being able to consider those basic key things to do at the right time as a young African. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is that your potential success in life cannot and will never be determined by how much money you need to start.
I mean that kind of attitude/mindset that no matter the challenges, difficulties, where you were born you don’t allow these to determine your future or success. That kind attitude that you develop and come to a point in your life that you are not a product of your present circumstances but a product of your vision and dreams. African young people need to develop the kind of attitude that they will bounce back from failure, thrive with steadfast, determination and confidence. The kind of mindset and attitude that millions of young Africans have has greatly contributed to their failure in life because the kind of mindset or attitude you have will affect your success or failure in life, business or career. As Steve Rezo will say “No matter what your given circumstances, you can adjust your attitude/mindset and create a brighter reality” It is not the poor family you were born in, it is not the bad neighborhood you grew up in that led you on the wrong path, it is not the teacher or parent that said you were not good enough that has caused you be where you are today it is your attitude and mindset.
Most African young people spend time to think and complain about how bad things are In Africa and don’t think about how good they will be because they lack that attitude. A positive attitude is key to a successful life because it takes a positive attitude to achieve positive results therefore your attitude either make you or break you, your attitude is the foundation for every success and every failure you have had and will have. My counsel to my fellow young Africans is always have a positive attitude/mindset, it is your attitudethat makes a situation positive or negative
In my next article I will share ways that can help us to keep our attitude in check when the circumstances and situations are horrible.
